President Rodrigo Duterte has threatened to eat the livers of Abu Sayyaf members after they beheaded two Vietnamese hostages in Basilan.
Duterte made the menace Wednesday (July 5) as he slammed the terrorist group for killing within the title of faith.
“You’d use God’s name in killing another person. Well, we won’t be shortchanged there. You cut off a head and I’ll eat your liver if you want,” he stated in a speech on the 64th Araw ng Hagonoy at Davao del Sur.
“Just give me salt and vinegar at kikilawin ko ‘yan sa harap mo. Kinakain ko lahat, hindi ako mapili. Kahit na ‘yung hindi malunok, kinakain ko pa rin,” he added.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines confirmed on Tuesday (July four) the beheading of Hoang Thong and Hoang Va Hai after their decapitated our bodies have been present in Sumisip city earlier within the day.
The two Vietnamese have been captives of the Abu Sayyaf since November final 12 months.
Duterte was visibly angered by the Abu Sayyaf’s ugly act contemplating that a few months in the past, he hosted a pleasant send-off to some Vietnamese fishermen who have been stranded in Philippine waters.
“The Vietnamese that the coastguards caught fishing in our territory, I even gave returned their boat, gave them food to eat, gasoline, and then sent them home. When I went to Vietnam, they said, ‘Thank you, but we have another problem.’ And this was it. There were two who were beheaded. Things like that. What are you really trying to prove?” he requested the terrorist group.
