The Department of Tourism (DOT) has a number of explaining to do over allegations it copied a South African tourism commercial.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has frowned on the tourism division’s choice to vary a preferred tag line “It’s more fun in the Philippines” and duplicate a tourism ad from one other nation.

“Why change the PH tourism tag line again??? We have to be consistent… I don’t see any need to change the tag line,” Gatchalian tweeted.

“Ngayon na copy cat pa tayo. This ad is similar daw to a South African tourism ad,” he stated.
