Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has warned President Rodrigo Duterte that there will be a time of reckoning for his actions, even the joke he uttered about rape.

“Let me remind Mr. Duterte, hindi ka nakapwesto dyan habang buhay. Mananagot at mananagot ka,” Trillanes mentioned in a radio interview Sunday (May 28).

The senator additionally issued a stern warning to the President’s subordinates, saying that they too might discover themselves in the identical boat as Duterte sooner or later.

“Yung mga mag aabuso na susunod sa yo na mag aabuso ng karapatan, mananagot din yan. Hindi mo kayang arborin yan,” he mentioned.

Trillanes has slammed the President for joking about rape in a current speech to troopers, saying not even bystanders would make gentle of the crime.

Although Duterte is the commander in chief of the armed forces, Trillanes advised troopers to not heed the President’s remarks on rape.

“Sana yung sundalo wag silang magpabola. Yung ibang pulis nagpabola eh komo sasagutin daw sila kaya ginawa yung pagpatay. Well mananagot sila later on. In fact ngayon nga nakakasuhan na yung iba hindi naman nasasagot ni Duterte eh. Sana wag magkamaling sumunod yung AFP dyan sa pagre rape, engganyo ni Duterte,” he mentioned.
