Senator Sonny Trillanes on Tuesday mentioned Sen. Dick Gordon, can “fantasize” concerning the state of affairs having him expelled by colleagues within the higher chamber for alleged unparliamentary habits.
Gordon on Sept. four filed a criticism towards Trillanes earlier than the Senate Ethics Committee, chaired by Sen. Tito Sotto, for repeatedly maligning the integrity of fellow senators and within the course of damaging the popularity of the Senate as an establishment.
Gordon, chair of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, has no qualms in declaring that he needs Trillanes be expelled after the latter branded his panel as a “comite de absuelto” (clearing committee) for displaying his bias for Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and his brother-in-law Mans Carpio. Both males had been being linked to smuggling on the Bureau of Customs (BoC).
“It’s not gonna be happen. I believe senators know me that this thing whatever he is alleging is not true. I trust in their wisdom and good judgment,” Trillanes mentioned in a tv interview.
“Sen Gordon wants me to expel for that particular episode. How petty is that but that’s the thing he wants to protect his political patron which is (President Rodrigo) Duterte,” he mentioned.
Trillanes added, “He (Gordon) wants to show him (President Duterte) that he is the most loyal senator in the Senate that’s why he is willing to do this. But (for) the other senators (who) will go along with him, I think not.”
