Senator Antonio Trillanes on Thursday scoffed at his colleague, Sen. Richard Gordon in his dealing with of the blue ribbon’s second public investigation on the P6.Four-billion value of smuggled shabu final Wednesday, the latter having dominated the primary three and half hours of the proceedings.
“Parang nanonood (ka) ng boring movie,” was how Trillanes described the listening to, including that almost all of his colleagues who’re members of the committee and needed to ask questions left as an alternative.
“Nandun ako (sa hearing). Alas otso (ng umaga) ako dumating, nagparegister ako para mauna ako magtanong. Eh akala ko committee hearing hindi one-man show, di ba?” he stated in jest to reporters.
Trillanes, in an interview with Senate reporters, stated he was out then to out to pursue the problem on a specific drug lord, alleged to be well-connected within the current administration, being behind the stated cargo.
“Eh malalaman natin ‘yan dito sa blue ribbon committee hearing, sana, kung makakapagtanong kami,” he quipped.
“Darating tayo dyan (pero) sabi ko nga, palalabasin natin ‘yan sa hearing, kung makakapagtanong nga kami, awa ng Diyos,” Trillanes added.
Quite a few senators attended the stated listening to, which noticed Gordon questioning a lot of the useful resource individuals for practically 4 hours, when he himself imposed a “rule” giving every panel member 5 minutes in questioning their friends.
Among those that attended had been Majority Leader Vicente Sotto, Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, Senators Sonny Angara, Bam Aquino, Panfilo Lacson and Trillanes.
Only Angara and Aquino managed to ask questions whereas Lacson and Sotto managed to butt in solely in the direction of the top of the proceedings.
