TOKYO, Japan (AFP) — Tokyo shares opened higher Friday following gains on Wall Street on renewed hopes for US tax cuts.

The Nikkei 225 rose zero.83 p.c or 153.89 factors to 18,584.38 within the opening minutes of buying and selling, whereas the Topix index of all first-section points rose zero.84 p.c, or 12.38 factors, to 1,485.19.
