CHICAGO—The top-seeded Boston Celtics turned the tables on the Chicago Bulls on Friday (Saturday, Manila), powering to a 104-87 victory to slender the hole of their NBA Eastern Conference first-round playoff collection.

The eighth-seeded Bulls had shocked the Celtics in two video games in Boston to grab a 2-Zero lead within the best-of-seven collection.

But the Celtics, rocked this week by the death of star Isaiah Thomas’ sister, Chyna, in a one-car accident, responded because the collection shifted to Chicago.

“We wanted to play for him,” Boston’s Avery Bradley mentioned of the workforce’s response to Thomas’ powerful week. “We wanted to play hard and tonight I feel like we put another smile on his face.”

Celtics coach Brad Stevens mentioned Thomas was “feeling better” after travelling to Washington state to attach with household after enjoying within the first two video games of the collection.

“It’s been a hard week, he’s had his ups and downs,” Stevens mentioned. “I think going was a good thing, but it was hard.”

Al Horford scored 18 factors and Thomas and Jae Crowder had 16 apiece for the Celtics.

Four Boston starters reached double figures. Bradley scored 15 factors and Terry Rozier completed with 11.

Dwyane Wade led Chicago with 18 factors and Jimmy Butler, who linked on simply seven of his 21 photographs from the ground, completed with 14. He didn’t go to the free-throw line as soon as.

Robin Lopez completed with 12 factors and Nikola Mirotic scored 12 for the Bulls, who struggled offensively with out injured level guard Rajon Rondo.
