A well-liked pro-Duterte blogger has promised “not to be adversarial” following his designation as a consultant of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to assist handle considerations of Filipino abroad employees.
RJ Nieto, who writes “Thinking Pinoy” weblog, has been assigned to the strategic communications part of the DFA’s Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers.
“I will help bridge the communication gap between OFWs and the DFA. I am not alone in this. Tulung-tulungan tayo,” he wrote on Facebook.
“So nakausap ko yung ibang mga tao sa DFA kanina tapos kako, I will not be adversarial sa mga dati nang tao ron. Kako, kahit yung mga problematic na employees doon, they once started na idealistic, and for now, fixing the DFA is just about positive reinforcement,” he stated.
“Kako, unti-unti nating baguhin ang kultura sa loob, hindi kailangang magaway-away agad. Kasi kako, para naman ito sa bayan, kaya tara’t magtulungan.”
