House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez sees no motive for plenary debates on the proposed P3.767-trillion national finances for 2018 to last more than 5 days.
In an interview with reporters Wednesday (August 30), Alvarez mentioned he sees no motive for the plenary debates to be prolonged contemplating that the House has plenty of urgent issues to take care of.
Plenary debates on the proposed General Appropriations Act for 2018 will begin on September four.
Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman, an opposition lawmaker, earlier appealed to House leaders to not railroad the method of approving the national finances.
