Secretary Judy Taguiwalo on Tuesday expressed her gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte for the chance he had given to “Left-leaning” people like her to serve in authorities.

“I have acknowledged that President Duterte has so far been the only President who gave space to members of the Left,” Taguiwalo stated.
“I am just sad that it is just a short engagement. I have wanted to see through the reform that he wanted happening in our country through the remaining years of his administration,” she added.
Rep. Joel Mayo Almario, chair of the CA Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Welfare, paid tribute to Taguiwalo after breaking the information of her rejection.
Almario stated that when President Duterte introduced in the beginning of his administration that he was providing alternative authorities posts to the so–known as Left, the National Democratic Front endorsed Taguiwalo as its prime candidate.
