POCHEON, South Korea (Reuters) — South Korean and United States troops held a joint live-fire train on Wednesday (April 26) amid mounting tensions on the Korean peninsula.

The two international locations staged the dwell hearth drill that includes a wide selection of military aviation, artillery, and armored autos at an artillery vary in Pocheon, about 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) northeast of Seoul.

The South Korean protection ministry mentioned about 2,000 troops from each international locations participated within the drill they usually used 250 military weapons together with K2 tanks, Bradley preventing autos, a number of launch rocket methods (MLRS), Apache helicopters and A-10 fight jets.

The joint drill referred to as the Integrated Firepower Exercise 2017 was held on April 13, 21 and 26.
