Senator Sonny Trillanes on Wednesday blasted Senator Dick Gordon for appearing as if the world “revolves” around him.
Trillanes made the comment after Gordon declared his plan to ship dwelling detained former Customs chief Nicanor Faeldon if the latter stood pat on choice to not cooperate in the Senate probe on smuggling.
“Hindi puwedeng gawin ito ni Sen. Gordon dahil the order to have Mr. Faeldon detained was given by the commtiree. Kelangan komite rin ang mag-de decide. Hindi unilateral ‘yan,” Trillanes stated in a briefing.
“Akala kasi minsan ni Sen.Gordon parang umiikot ‘yung mundo sa kanya e. Di ikaw ‘yung pinakamagaling dito sa real world. Maybe, in Gordon’s world he’s probably the best in his mind. But in the real world he is not,” Trillanes stated.
Faeldon is at present detained at the Senate after the Blue Ribbon Committee cited him in contempt for snubbing its investigation on the smuggling of P6.four billion shabu from China.
“Kung ganyan na talaga position n’ya I will send him home. But he would be under contempt. Hindi mo naman mapipilit yan but it might be a bad precedent,” Gordon stated on Tuesday.
“So, my own feeling about that is that he is hurt. He is hurting and he is not used to be criticized and that is wrong,” he added.
