CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, March 20 (PIA) – The South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) extension mission will soon start construction.

This was disclosed by  Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar in a current interview with the Quezon media.

Villar reported that the construction of the 56.862-kilometer extension mission, often known as Toll Road four (TR4) which begins in Sto. Tomas city in Batangas and ends in Lucena City, will start this 2017.

Once accomplished, the standard journey time of 4 (four) hours from Manila to Lucena can be dramatically diminished to a couple of hour.

The SLEX Toll Road four is a four-lane expressway that’s divided into 5 (5) elements as follows: Calamba-Macban, 11.32 kms.; Macban-San Pablo City, 12.12 kms.; San Pablo City-Tiaong, Quezon, 7.50 kms.; Tiaong-Candelaria,15 kms.;  at Candelaria-Lucena,10.93 kms. (ACO, PIA-Laguna)
