Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV needs Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II to apologize in public over claims he met with different politikos in Marawi City final month.

This, even when Aquino confirmed that Aguirre apologized to him Wednesday (June 7) over the cellphone.

“I hope he would apologize when he talks to the public today. hindi ito basta-bastang bagay, when you are linked to terrorism. You just can’t take it sitting down,” the senator mentioned in a tv interview Thursday (June eight).

“Of course it’s a concern. Sa totoo lang I was really surprised when I first heard about it kasi sabi ko, talaga bang patulan yung fake news?” Aquino mentioned.

The senator famous that at least Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez have cleared him of the rumor that he went to Marawi City on May 19 to talk with the Maute group.

Aguirre claimed that Aquino met with Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano, former Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Ronald Llamas and native leaders in Marawi City earlier than the Mautes staged their assault on May 23.

By making the claim, Aguirre insinuated that the opposition politikos have a hand within the battle in Marawi City.

So far, Aguirre has solely blamed the media for supposedly misquoting him on the supposed meeting in Marawi City of opposition politikos.
