Robredo accuses Marcos of ‘mind-conditioning tactics’ over poll protest
The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo has denied accusations of attempting to delay the decryption and printing of ballots in reference to the election protest filed by former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Contrary to what the Marcos camp is saying, Robredo’s counsel Atty. Maria Bernadette Sardillo claimed there was no movement asking the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) to cease the actions.
“Mr. Marcos should advise his lawyers to look promptly at their own submissions to the court and get their facts straight so they can say who has been causing delays in this case,” Sardillo mentioned.
“After all, who failed to comply and submit the names of witnesses despite being directed to do so?” the lawyer shot again.
The lawyer assured that the Robredo camp “always complied with all the orders of the PET and it is in the interest of the Vice President to resolve this case to further eliminate mind-conditioning tactics Mr. Marcos is doing to the public.”
