House leaders led by Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez hit the highway Thursday (June 1) for a six-day inspection of the highways and roads in Northern Luzon.

The trip will cowl the provinces of Pampanga, Tarlac, Bataan, Ilocos Region, Ifugao and Baguio City.

At least 70 lawmakers have reportedly signed on to be a part of the trip.

In an announcement, the House mentioned the lawmakers “are expected to identify areas in Northern Luzon where vital infrastructures and road signs are most needed.”

“They will also inspect the connectivity of road networks and the feasibility of using existing government installations for better public service,” the assertion learn.

The trip, which additionally embrace stops to well-known vacationer locations within the provinces, will final till June 6.

In March, the lawmakers performed a “Western and Eastern Nautical Highway Expedition” wherein they checked on the standing of roll-on, roll-off (RoRo) ports and services, roads and highways, and infrastructures, amongst others.
