That’s how Deputy Speaker Miro Quimbo described the likes of lawyer Oliver Lozano, who along with nuisance election candidate Melchior Chavez despatched to the House of Representatives (HOR) Monday (March 20) a draft impeachment grievance towards Vice President Leni Robredo.

“Congress should not allow itself to be used by these “recidivist impeachers” who trivialize this deeply sacred accountability measure enshrined in our structure. We should not permit congress and its members to be dragged into their petty political charades,” Quimbo mentioned in a press release.

Quimbo and Robredo are each from the Liberal Party (LP).

“Ginagawa nilang dalawa singko ang impeachment. It’s a travesty to our political institutions if we are to allow these people to cheapen this process,” the Deputy Speaker additional mentioned.

The unendorsed, six-page grievance from Lozano and Chavez sought Robredo’s impeachment on grounds of “betrayal of the public trust and culpable violation of the constitution.” The duo additionally known as Robredo “a termite” of the federal government.

It stays to be seen if House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez will endorse the impeachment grievance.
