Senator Grace Poe on Wednesday vowed to advance the curiosity of thousands and thousands of Filipino cell prepaid subscribers as she pressed for longer validity intervals for prepaid loads.
Poe, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Services, is ready to name for technical working group (TWG) conferences to thresh out issues surrounding prepaid load and different associated points.
“We have to consider what is best for the highest interest of our consumers,” stated Poe, including that the present guidelines issued in 2009 which set a minimal validity of three days for prepaid load “is quite brief.”
“Ang mga mahihirap na kadalasang walang kapasidad na bumili nang mas mahal na load ay napupwersang bumili nang paunti-unting load sa maliit na halaga para lamang ma-maintain na active ang kanilang SIM card,” Poe added.
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) instructed Poe that the setting apart of the expiry interval is possible and instructed that this may be completed based mostly on a 17-year-old memorandum round.
Under NTC Memorandum Circular No. 03-07-2009, loads with larger values can have longer expiration or validity intervals. Credits value P10 or decrease can be legitimate for three days from the earlier one-day expiration.
Loads greater than P10 as much as P50 can be utilized for 15 days whereas credit value greater than P50 as much as P100 will stay legitimate for 30 days.
Loads greater than P100 to P150 will expire on the finish of 45 days whereas credit of greater than P150 to P250 will final for 60 days. More than P250 to P300 will stay legitimate for 75 days whereas credit value greater than P300 will final for 120 days.
