The household of the late former President Ferdinand Marcos may not quite have gold bars to supply to the federal government, Sen. Panfilo Lacson mentioned Wednesday.
Instead, Lacson mentioned what the Marcoses may have are certificates, photocopies of which he mentioned he may have seen a number of years again.
“Pag-trade mo ng gold, di talaga gold bar ang hawak mo. These are certificates na tine-trade mo. Di ito physical state ng gold bar. Yan ang pagkaalam ko,” he informed reporters.
He mentioned former First Lady Imelda Marcos confirmed him and a few mates photocopies of the certificates a number of years again.
At the time, he mentioned Mrs. Marcos confirmed them the photocopies to indicate her husband traded in gold earlier than he entered authorities.
