The Supreme Court (SC), which is sitting because the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), has ordered Vice President Leni Robredo to pay the P15 million being requested of her in reference to the election protest of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
SC spokesperson Theodore Te mentioned that the PET on Tuesday, April 25, denied Robredo’s movement for reconsideration which requested for a deferment of the fee of such quantity.
“The PET denied protestee Robredo’s motion for reconsideration of the Resolution dated March 21, 2017 and directed Robredo to pay the cash deposit as stated in the Resolution dated March 21, 2017 within a non-extendible period of five days from notice of Resolution,” mentioned Te.
In its March 21 decision, the PET ordered Marcos to deposit greater than P66 million in two tranches, whereas Robredo was directed to deposit P15.four million additionally in two tranches.
