After being linked to the corruption scandal within the Bureau of Customs, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte has accused some journalists of getting paid to unfold lies about him.
In a Facebook post, the President’s son mentioned it was “deeply lamentable” how some media practitioners have resorted to “cheap witch hunts and fishing trips” as an alternative of practising truthful and unbiased reporting.
He mentioned these journalists have additionally shamed the occupation and the general public after they report “unfounded claims and perverted admissions” to smear the fame of individuals.
“These journalists, who are quick to judge and are quicker to persecute people and public officials, are so obsessed with lies as they see truth in the filthy, the gunky, and the rotten,” he mentioned.
