After playing lord Charlie “Atong” Ang was noticed breezing by airport traces and safety by the assistance of an escort, Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Jaime Morente has ordered authorities personnel to cease giving particular treatment to passengers at the airport.

Morente has ordered BI workers “to strictly enforce its policy declaring as off-limits to unauthorized persons its immigration areas in all the international airports nationwide and prohibiting the giving of VIP treatment to passengers.”

The BI chief gave the order after receiving a report in regards to the arrival of Ang on Monday (July 2) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 from Thailand.

In a report to Morente, BI Port Operations Divisions (POD) Acting Chief Marc Red Marinas mentioned an investigation was carried out and located “no Immigration Officer nor any POD or BI employee escorted or assisted said subject on his arrival.”

“It was found out, however, that a certain retired SPO4 Ciriaco Peralta, now a media practitioner escorted/assisted Mr. Ang at the immigration area of NAIA Terminal I when he arrived from Thailand,” Marinas mentioned.

It can recalled Ang had accused Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II of planning to kill the previous to open extra space for enterprise pursuits in small city lottery operations.

The BI is beneath Aguirre’s Department of Justice (DOJ).
