Vice President Leni Robredo didn’t spend taxpayers’ cash to finance her current go to to Germany, her camp clarified on Facebook.
“Vice President Leni Robredo’s recent working visit to Berlin, Germany was fully financed by Friedrich Naumann Foundation. Contrary to the fake news spreading online that this was ‘paid for by the Republic of the Philippines,’ no amount was charged to the Philippine government,” the VP’s Facebook post learn.
“Let us be critical and vigilant against false information posted online and offline,” it added.
Robredo and different authorities officers have been reportedly invited by FNF to a “study visit program” in Berlin on sharing options to poverty alleviation and social justice.
Included in the delegation have been Senator Francis Pangilinan, Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo, Ifugao Rep. Teddy Baguilat Jr., Dinagat Islands Rep. Kaka Bag-ao, and former Budget Secretary Butch Abad.
