National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Dante Gierran has joined forces with the police and the military in implementing the arrest order issued by Martial Law Administrator, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

“Si Director Gierran has ordered our regional and field offices in Mindanao to coordinate with the PNP (Philippine National Police) and the military regarding the arrest,” stated NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin.

“They were also issued copies of the Arrest Order No. 1,” he added.

Lorenzana issued Arrest Order No. 1 on May 29 which was addressed to the NBI, police and military.

The order lists 138 suspected members of the Maute and Abu Sayyaf whom he sought arrested.
