The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has cleared 18 civilians whose names appeared in the arrest order issued by Martial Law Administrator, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.
“They were able to secure NBI clearances,” disclosed NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin.
“We will submit our report with the implementor of the martial law regarding this one,” he added.
Martial Law Administrator, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, issued Arrest Order No. 1 on May 29 which ordered the arrest of suspected members of the Maute and Abu Sayyaf.
The 18 who comprise members of the Maute clan and their relations together with ladies and youngsters went to the NBI on June 1 to clear their names and guarantee the federal government that none of them are members of the terrorist group Maute.
