Former ABAKADA party-list Representative Jonathan Dela Cruz on Thursday (April 20) prodded the Supreme Court (SC) to stop the anomalous billion-peso firetruck deal involving Austrian firm Rosenbauer, which has already resulted to the sacking of Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno.

His counsel, lawyer Leo Romero, filed a second movement searching for for the quick utility for a brief restraining order (TRO) or a writ for preliminary injunction in opposition to the deal which was made throughout the administration of former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Dela Cruz first filed a petition on June 28, 2016.

Romero defined that the deal entails two contracts with 76 firetrucks in every contract. They quantity to virtually P3.07 billion.
