Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales is unmoved on her determination to not file charges in opposition to former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III in reference to the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) which had been declared by the Supreme Court (SC) as unconstitutional.
“If the evidence is there, if it’s rearing its ugly head, why should we not file the case?” Morales identified throughout her interview on CNN Philippines on Monday (April 24).
“But if the evidence does not merit the determination of probable cause, why should we go to court?” she pressured.
The Ombudsman issued a decision on March 7 which dismissed the criticism in opposition to Aquino in reference to the DAP.
On the opposite hand, the Ombudsman did discover possible trigger in opposition to former Budget Secretary Florencio Abad and ordered him indicted for usurpation of legislative powers.
