Senator Sonny Angara on Wednesday pressed for the quick submitting of charges towards the folks behind the unlawful cargo of shabu value P6.four billion from China.
“Ang lumalabas sa imbestigasyon na ito, mayroong krimen pero walang criminal,” stated Angara throughout the continuation of the investigation into the smuggling of unlawful drug cargo.
“Everyone knows there was crime committed and there are drugs involved, and yet wala pang kaso,” stated Angara, vice chair of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
On May 26, 604 kilos of shabu had been seized throughout a raid at a warehouse in Valenzuela City by the Bureau of Customs (BoC), assisted by the Northern Police District, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
“Klarong klaro na may krimen. Bakit walang pang sinasampang kaso? Saan ka ba nakakita ng ganun? Hindi ba sa Pinas lang? Bakit? Kasi may kasabwat sa loob,” stated Angara, who sponsored the regulation imposing stiffer penalties towards corrupt BoC officers.
