(Eagle News) — Malacanang on Friday declared April 28 as a nonworking holiday in Metro Manila.
Based on Malacanang’s memorandum round, work in authorities and personal workplaces in the metropolis was suspended on that day to present approach to the collection of actions to be held in reference to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit.
Also suspended on April 28 are lessons in any respect ranges in private and non-private colleges in the metro.
The Palace additionally declared April 27 as a nonworking holiday, however this is applicable solely to these working in authorities workplaces in Manila, Makati and Pasay.
“The suspension of work in the private sector and in places other than those indicated above is left to the discretion of their respective local government units and/or employers based on their assessment of the scheduled activities from 24-30 April 2017 and the security and traffic management plan which shall be implemented on the said dates,” the memorandum signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea stated.
It stated the suspension of lessons in Manila, Makati and Pasay on April 27 shall additionally “be left to the discretion of their respective heads.”
“This circular shall take effect immediately,” the memo stated.
