The efforts of a number of achieved ladies to boost cash for Vice President Leni Robredo’s electoral protest has failed to succeed in even half 1,000,000 pesos at first strive.

Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Rina Jimenez David on Friday (July 7) mentioned the “Piso para sa laban ni Leni” marketing campaign managed to boost over P400,000 in its first week.

The marketing campaign is led by Museo Pambata founder Nina Lim-Yuson, and embody former Human Rights commissioner and columnist Paulynn Sicam, singer Celeste Legaspi, former Bases Conversion Development Authority board member Zorayda Alonzo, former social welfare secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman, and Ateneo de Manila University Press director Karina Bolasco.

All members of the marketing campaign are awardees of The Outstanding Women within the Nation’s Service (TOWNS).

Robredo wants to boost at the least P7.5 million to cowl the proceedings of the electoral protest filed in opposition to her by former senator Bongbong Marcos.

The deadline for the fee of the multimillion-peso deposit to the Presidential Electoral Tribunal is on July 14.
