President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday (September 14) urged stakeholders within the peace course of to work collectively to achieve their objectives and thwart those that sow discord.
In a speech on the 24th anniversary of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) in Malacañang, Duterte stated he’s hopeful that the federal government will achieve “genuine peace.”
“I have high hopes that we will continue to build our gains to find common support and to work together despite setbacks and disagreements,” he stated.
He urged the general public to stand agency with him in working for lasting peace for the nation.
“Let us unite against those who promote violent extremism, sow divisions, hatred and terror among our people,” Duterte stated.
