The Oblation statue on the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman is now not the one statue with its arms unfold extensive open.
Set to be unveiled quickly at UP’s flagship campus is the “UPLift,” the female version of the Oblation.
The sculpture, created by Ferdie Cacnio, options a female in a horizontal levitation pose, with her arms stretched extensive open and looking out in direction of the sky.
Lawyer Dot Gancayco served because the face mannequin for the female Oblation statue.
In a Facebook post, Gus Cerdeña of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Philippine workplace stated the sculpture represents the aspiration for UP’s motto of honor and excellence.
