Senator Loren Legarda on Friday stated early approval of the 2018 national budget is a chance as President Duterte intends to undergo Congress the national expenditure program (NEP) for subsequent 12 months on Monday or instantly after delivering his second State of the Nation Address (SONA).

“When the budget is approved early, it allows for a more efficient delivery of services by the government,” the chair of the Senate finance committee stated.
