SAN ANTONIO. United States (Reuters) — The final killer whale to be born at SeaWorld was delivered on Wednesday (April 19) at the corporate’s San Antonio park.

Sea World veterinarians stated they haven’t but decided the gender of the calf, however stated the child and its 25 12 months previous mom, Takara, are in good condition and are being monitored 24 hours a day. This is Takara’s fifth delivery, and officers say she’s going to decide when park curators can ‘meet’ the calf and decide its gender.

Takara was already pregnant when SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment introduced final 12 months that they had been suspending the captive breeding program and phasing out killer whale exhibits on account of rising criticism and falling park income.
