Even if former Customs commissioner Nicanor Faeldon didn’t ask for it, Sen. Panfilo Lacson plans to pursue charges towards him for corruption within the company.
Lacson, in an interview with reporters on Wednesday afternoon, mentioned he’s now consolidating the proof he has.
“We’ll come to that. I’m consolidating all evidence. Even if he does not ask for it I really intend to pursue this,” he mentioned.
He was referring to Faeldon’s reported problem to file corruption charges towards him.
Last week, Lacson delivered a privilege speech the place he detailed the corruption and bribery involving BOC officers, together with Faeldon.
Faeldon hit again the subsequent day, linking Lacson’s son Panfilo Jr. to cement “smuggling.”
But Lacson famous there is no such thing as a such factor as smuggling of cement since there may be zero tariff, owing to cement lined by the Asean Free Trade Area.
When requested about his witnesses in his case towards Faeldon, Lacson mentioned they’ll have to “signify their intention or willingness to reduce their information into sworn statements.”
“And we’re working on that,” he added.
