Senator Ping Lacson on Thursday stated he wouldn’t tolerate any unlawful actions of his son, Panfilo “Pampi” Jr., who was accused of smuggling by former Customs chief Nick Faeldon.
“Kung talagang guilty or may kinalaman sa pag-smuggle ang anak ko, ako na mismo hindi na niya kailangan mag-file pa ng kaso,” he stated.
Lacson associated his advise to his son earlier than coming into into any enterprise: “Yan ang kabilin-bilinan ko dahil papasok ka riyan. Pagka ikaw nagkamali at di on the level ang business dealings mo, ako na mismo kakastigo sa iyo. I’ll can you and even initiate filing of charges against you.”
“Ito ang logic. Kung meron akong alam o halimbawa ginagawa ang anak ko, bakit ako mag-e-expose? Magsasawalang kibo ako,” the senator stated.
“Patatawag ko si Faeldon at mga BoC (officials). Pakikisamahan ko, ngingitian ko sila. Ganoon ang dapat gawin. Di ba ‘yan ang logical thing to do?” he stated.
Faeldon dropped the bomb on Pampi a day after Lacson gave a privilege speech accusing Faeldon of coddling smugglers and accepting a P100 million present from smugglers.
