NATIONAL Police chief Rolando dela Rosa has no prepared reply as to why President Rodrigo Duterte wished to reinstate Supt. Marvin Marcos as a substitute of confining him to barracks.

“You better ask the President anong wisdom niya dun,” dela Rosa informed reporters.

That was his response when requested why was Marcos not confined to barracks or do workplace work simply like different police officers dealing with felony or administrative charges.

Marcos and 18 of his males from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region eight have been dealing with murder charges for the killing of Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa and fellow inmate Raul Yap in November 2016.

Dela Rosa mentioned it was the President who informed him to reinstate Marcos and his males since they have been nonetheless getting their salaries regardless of their suspension.

Asked why did he enable Marcos to go the CIDG Region 12 regardless of the controversy hounding the latter, Dela Rosa mentioned, “That is my discretion.

“Sa akin na ‘yan kung saan (ko siya) ilagay. P’wedeng i-float, p’wedeng pagtrabahuhin,” he added.
