It’s excessive time that school tuition be made free, stated Sen. Sonny Angara on Sunday (June 25) who expressed confidence a invoice offering free of charge tertiary training would be authorized quickly.
“I’m very optimistic that President Duterte will sign this on or before his scheduled State of the Nation Address (SONA) in July. It could be his biggest and best announcement for all of us that day,” he stated referring to the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education invoice.
The two Houses of Congress have already authorized and ratified the measure which might make training at state universities and schools (SUCs) in addition to native universities and schools (LUCs) for free of charge particularly to poor college students.
Angara, co-author of the invoice and vice chair of the Senate training committee, stated the measure would empower younger individuals as it might take away a serious hindrance to tertiary training.
“With this law, even the financially-incapable Filipino families can give their children college education without worrying how to pay for it because it will be free. This will definitely be a big sigh of relief for parents. With free tertiary education in SUCs and LUCs, no more tears of frustration on their part,” he stated.
