President Rodrigo Duterte reassured troopers anew that he’ll assume duty for his or her actions whereas martial law is in place in Mindanao.
In his speech earlier than members of the 602nd Infantry Brigade in North Cotabato Tuesday (June 6), Duterte instructed troopers to shoot terrorists on sight and guarantee they’re useless.
“So huwag kayong matakot magtrabaho. Kasi ako lang kasi ang sa Constitution. I and I alone can declare martial law,” he stated.
“So lahat ng mangyari dito, whether nagkamali ka o tama, ako ang magsagot niyan isa. I and I alone will assume full responsibility. Trabaho lang kayo,” Duterte added.
But whereas the President was assured in defending troopers, he confused that he didn’t wish to declare martial law within the first place. ”Ayaw ko ‘to. Ilang beses ninyo narinig: Do not power my hand into it as a result of I will likely be harsh. Eh pinilit talaga ninyo ako, ah ‘di sige,” he stated.
Duterte declared martial law in Mindanao as a result of ongoing conflict between authorities forces and the terrorist Maute group.
