Senator Gregorio Honasan on Thursday (June 29) appealed to journalists overlaying the Marawi siege to chorus from posting and exhibiting the location of presidency troops in motion in order not to compromise their place.
“Iwasan natin na kukuha ng footages na yung tropa ay papalapit na doon sa ospital o munisipyo dahil hindi naman natin nakukunan ng footages yung (members of the) Maute (group),” he stated.
Honasan, chair of the Senate committee on national protection and safety, stated such information video footage might give undue or unwarranted benefit to the Maute group as to the precise location of the troopers out to annihilate them.
“Sila nadadagdagan ‘yung kaalaman. Nalalagasan tayo (ng mga sundalo),” he stated.
