Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II expressed confidence that not one of the high-profile inmates will recant their testimonies in opposition to detained Senator Leila De Lima over her alleged involvement within the proliferation of unlawful medicine on the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Aguirre has already begun shifting them on Thursday (July 27) again to the medium safety compound of the Bilibid after having stayed on the medium safety part of the national penitentiary regardless of threats they might recant their testimonies if returned.
“Nung sila ay magtestify voluntary yan. Hindi sila tinakot, hindi sila binayaran, hindi sila pinangakuan ng kung ano man,” Aguirre mentioned.
“Kaya’t parang hindi ako naniniwala na magkakaroon ng parang blackmailing yan,” he added
The high-profile inmates have reportedly expressed considerations for his or her security of they’re returned to the utmost safety compound.
“Hindi ako maaaring mablackmail,” he harassed.
“I’m going to return you where you came from sapagkat doon mahigpit ang ating pangangalaga nang hindi kumalat ulit ang transaksyon ng iligal na droga,” he defined.
