Senate President Koko Pimentel on Wednesday stated the return of the Balangiga bells would lead to the “closure” of the injuries of Filipino-American War.
Pimentel expressed assist for President Rodrigo Duterte’s name to the United States to return the “Bells of Balangiga” and different conflict booties taken by American troopers 116 years in the past in Samar.
The artifacts included two church bells dated 1863 and 1889, an English-made cannon dated 1557, and a small church bell dated 1896.
