Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon, after shedding tears to blue ribbon committee chair Sen. Richard Gordon following a face-off with Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, referred to as the latter a liar.
Faeldon, rising from the Senate listening to on the P6.four billion shabu cargo uncovered by the authorities final May, stated he was decreased to tears after Trillanes repeatedly requested him to substantiate or deny the existence of corruption in the bureau.
“Nakita nyo tumulo yung luha ko, bakit? Kasi the good guys in the bureau are being persecuted,” he stated.
“Kasi he’s trying to ask questions, keep telling these preposterous stories to different media in the past several days. In fact, meron na syang conclusion eh. See? I do not allow it,” Faeldon stated, reiterating that “there are a lot of good guys in the bureau.”
The BOC chief was referring to Trillanes’ statements final week saying Faeldon is on the coronary heart of the controversy surrounding the stated cargo of shabu from China that ended up in a warehouse in Valenzuela City.
“We have this storyteller (Trillanes), magtatanong tanong pa dyan (and then) you expect me to even answer him?” he requested.
Faeldon stated his respect to the Senate as an establishment and different senators prevailed and prompted him to conform to reply Trillanes’ questioning.
“(But) as far as Mr. Trillanes is concerned, he’s a liar,” he stated.
