President Rodrigo Duterte “may come up with substantial evidence” to finish the “wanton accusations” being raised by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, Malacañang stated.
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella gave this clarification Monday (September 11) when searched for clarification about Duterte’s comment he’ll “destroy” Trillanes.
“The President… is a very firm forceful speaker. And he simply means to say that he wants to put a stop to these apparently wanton comments,” he stated.
When requested if Duterte will relay data that can lead to the submitting of charges in opposition to Trillanes, Abella stated: “Well, simply that whatever it is that he will want a stop to this apparently wanton accusations that are being recklessly cast around.”
“He may come– he may– he may come up with substantial evidence that will effectively put a stop to these things,” Abella added.
Over the weekend, Duterte stated he’ll destroy Trillanes because the senator is bent on doing the identical to him.
Trillanes has accused Duterte of getting over P200 million in undeclared financial institution deposits, whereas he alleged that Davao City Mayor Paolo Duterte, the President’s son, is concerned in smuggling.
Duterte, in the meantime, stated he’ll quickly launch details about Trillanes’ alleged offshore financial institution accounts.
