After a five-day hiatus, President Rodrigo Duterte can be again in the public eye Saturday (June 17).

According to the tentative schedule launched by Malacañang, Duterte will grace the celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of Agusan del Norte at the University of Cabadbaran campus in the afternoon.

He will then proceed to go to the 4th Infantry Division Advance Command Post in Butuan City.

Duterte is anticipated to speak to the troops and award Military Merit medals to pick out troopers.

The President has reportedly been staying in Davao City since Thursday (June 15).

He has not been seen by the public since June 12, when he skipped the celebration of Independence Day rites at Luneta.

Malacañang mentioned the President wanted to relaxation since he had a “brutal” schedule over the previous few weeks.

To dispel rumors about his well being, the Palace and Duterte’s very long time aide, Bong Go, launched pictures displaying him trying regular and nonetheless at work on his downtime.
