President Rodrigo Duterte has warned Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog to finish his alleged ties to the unlawful drug commerce earlier than Ozamiz City police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido is transferred to his turf.
In a press convention in Pampanga Monday (August 28), Duterte famous that Mabilog’s identify has all the time been included in the so-called “narco lists” given to him.
“Well, I’ll tell you again, Mayor. Dinadawit ka. For the longest time, updated list, nandiyan ka. Eh sa totoo lang, ngayon pang wala na nangyari, baka gusto mo nang tapusin ang connection mo,” Duterte stated.
The President warned Mabilog to not use his connections with native authorities to cover his supposed involvement in unlawful medicine.
“Do not protect, do not call the police, ganito, ganito. Do not just mess up with the… kasi ‘pagka nandiyan ka, drug lord ka rin eh. Mapipilitan ako. Bakit ka nag-proprotekta?” he stated.
Earlier in the day, Duterte stated Espenido might be assigned to Iloilo City.
Espenido’s project to a sure locality has been related to a crackdown on unlawful medicine since he was the police chief of Albuera, Leyte and Ozamiz City when Mayors Ronaldo Espinosa Sr. and Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. died, respectively.
The two politikos had been included in Duterte’s narco record.
