The Presidential Security Group has suggested President Rodrigo Duterte not to announce his plans to visit military camps in Mindanao as he deliberate to get close to the motion Marawi City in the approaching days.
“Tomorrow, I’m out again to visit another brigade. Now, with the outbreak of this conflict, ang sabi ng PSG ko is no — not to mention to anybody especially in public where I would go tomorrow to visit the camps,” mentioned Duterte in a speech in a military camp Thursday.
“Sabi nila, you do not need the publicity. It will not contribute anything anyway. So maglipad na lang tayo doon sans the publicity,” he added.
Duterte has stepped out of the general public eye for consecutive days this month with Malacanang refusing to declare his location. Duterte claimed he was simply resting and went on an undisclosed journey incognito.
