President Duterte has introduced he’ll lower down on his public appearances until the Marawi crisis is over.
Speaking on the 140th anniversary of the Philippine-Chinese Charitable Association in Manila, the president stated he would spend extra time visiting navy camps to increase the morale of troops.
“You know you’d see me less — less of me until the Marawi incident is over,” he stated. “I’ll be visiting camps every day, just to raise the morale.”
Earlier, through the 120th founding anniversary of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) on Wednesday, he introduced a go to to Marawi City on Friday. “I want to go to Marawi. I think I will go there on Friday,” he stated.
Over the previous month, the president has disappeared from the public eye on two events, most just lately for seven days.
These extended absences began when he skipped Independence Day rites in Manila on June 12.
For 5 days, he didn’t have public engagements, which sparked hypothesis about his well being. However, palace officers have insisting he was “just resting”.
He was subsequent seen in Butuan City on June 17.
Then, on June 20, he visited an evacuation centre in Iligan City and a navy camp in Cagayan de Oro City.
After that, he once more disappeared from view for every week, finally reappearing on Tuesday night time for an Eid al-Fitr celebration on the Malacañang.
The president dismissed rumours that he had been sick, solely saying that he stayed in his mattress.
