A authorities official whose promotion was really helpful by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade is about to lose his post after President Rodrigo Duterte received wind of his alleged corruption.
Duterte hinted about sacking Clark Development Corporation (CDC) president Noel Manankil when he mentioned he was about to fire somebody from Clark Airbase in his speech on the 140th anniversary of the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association in Manila Wednesday evening (June 28).
“Ngayon, there’s somebody there sa Clark Airbase. I will… I’m just waiting for the… I will fire him maybe tomorrow or… Basta…,” he mentioned.
Duterte mentioned the corrupt official reportedly asks for P2 million for each contractor who needs to do enterprise on the airbase.
“Eh kasi doon ang balita, locator pagka maghingi na ng permit to start to contract — a contractor starts to build, eh humihingi ng 2 million,” he mentioned.
“P****** i**, ako nagtitiis ako ng P130,000 na sweldo, ikaw P2 million kada pirma mo? O di palit na lang tayo ng trabaho,” Duterte added.
According to a report by the Philippine Star, the President already introduced his determination to fire Manankil on the board assembly of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) on Tuesday (June 27).
“I want that guy fired,” Duterte was quoted by the paper as telling Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade throughout the assembly, which was held in Malacañang.
The Star mentioned it was Tugade who really helpful Manankil’s appointment since that they had labored earlier than at CDC.
When Tugade was CDC president within the Aquino administration, Manankil served as vice president for administration and finance.
