President Rodrigo Duterte needs to fulfill with Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez to debate the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) after the Moro Islamic Liberation Front talked to him about their issues relating to the measure.

Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella on Tuesday (September 5) mentioned Duterte needs to fulfill with the highest two leaders of Congress to “facilitate the process.”

He mentioned the President had assured MILD leaders throughout their meeting Monday (September four) that the BBL’s passage stays one of many administration’s priorities.

“The President assured them that he considers this high priority and vital to the future of Mindanao and the nation,” Abella mentioned.

The BBL seeks to formalize the institution of a brand new political entity that may change the prevailing Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

MILF leaders met with Duterte after some critics noticed that the Bangsamoro invoice has but to realize any endorsers in Congress.
